Dolphin Head Nebula or Sh2-308 is a rather weak Emission Nebula in the constellation of Canis Major. I t is generated by a Wolf-Rayet-Star in its center. These are very massiv stars which pass their astronomic life in a rather short time, while ejecting tremendous star winds. This particle and electro-magnetic radiation collides with the surrounding gas and generates complex nebulae like this nicely shaped bubble.
