Dark Wolf Nebula:

SL17_Dark Wolf Nebula

Dark Wolf Nebula SL 17: This very dense and compact Dark Nebula in the constellation of Scorpius is called Dark Wolf Nebula. The reason for this is easily recognized. The dark silhouetted region of gas and dust blocks the light of  thousands of stars behind it, belonging to the huge Emission Nebula  RCW 113 which  emits strong H-alpha radiation.

In order to make the fine structures in the image more visible the stars have been removed.
