Perseids 13 Aug 2018

Perseids 13 Aug 2018: Each year in July-August the Perseid Meteor Showers, connected to the comet Swift-Tuttle, appear in the sky. In 2018 the observing and photography conditions were very good, since the shower coincided with a New Moon.

The image shows five meteor streaks heading to a position in the constellation of Perseus in the lower part of the image, which is called the Radiant. In ther center one finds also bright Andromeda Galaxy.

Unfortunately clouds were coming up during the night which are also displayed.

The meteors are best recognized viewing the Hi-Res version.
