
Open Cluster NGC 6124: In the center of this image NGC 6124 is displayed against a rich Milky Way background in the constallation of Scorpius. I consisits of several hundred stars in a distance of appr. 18000 LY and was discovered in 1751 by Abbe Lacaille from Cape Town.
