Lowers Nebula
Lowers Nebula: The constellation of Orion is one of the richest region in Deep Sky Objects of the sky. Apart from well known nebulae like the Great Orion and Horse Head Nebula there is a very faint nebulosity of glowing hydrogen gas (HII-region), which is rarely photographed. Its designation is Sharpless 261 (Sh2-261), but it is also sometimes called Lowers Nebula.
The image was taken at the IAS astronomical site at the Hakos farm in Namibia.
