Blue Horsehead Nebula

Blue Horsehead Nebula: There seem to be several horses in the sky: This image of the Reflection Nebula IC 4592 in the constellation of Scorpius definitely also resembles a horse´s head as close as the more famous Horse Head Nebula in Orion. The bright star in the center of the image is Jabbah, a multiple star system, which generates the nebula. The intensive light of the star is reflected by the dense parts of a molecular cloud (brownish spots in the picture) thereby losing the red components in its spectrum.
The second Reflection Nebula around the two stars to the upper right is IC 4601.
