Galaxy NGC 247: The spiral galaxy in this image belongs to the Sculptor Group of galaxies in a distance of about 11 Mio LY.
Several other background galaxies can be detected in the image, but they are further away.
The image was taken at the observatory of IAS at Hakos Farm in Namibia.
