Southern Pleiades
Southern Pleiades: The visually brightest Open Cluster in the Southern Constellation Carina is IC 2602. It is sometimes also called Southern Pleiades due to its resemblance to the Pleiades Cluster in the Northern Sky also called the Seven Sisters. It`s distance is about 500 LY.
Beneath IC 2602 there is another Open Cluster (see especially the Hi-Res version) much further away with the designation of Melotte 101.
