Rigel and Witch Head Nebula: Very close to the bright star Rigel of the constellation Orion is in the neighbouring constellation of Eridanus a rather faint reflection nebula, resembling a witches head. Its designation is IC 2118 and it is created by the strong radiation of the star, which is reflected from gas molecules and dust.
You find Rigel right of the center of the image and the witch head to the west of it. Other fainter parts of the Orion molecular cloud can also be detected in the image, to the right part of Barnard´s loop.
