Rosette Nebula

Rosette Nebula: Close to the Orion constellation there is in Monoceros this spectacular emission nebula like a blooming flower. The open star cluster in the center excites the hydrogen clouds of this star cradle from which they were born. Intricate dust bands and clouds in between make this sight so beautiful.
There is a lot to discover in this narrow band image using the H-alpha line of hydrogen, especially when you are clicking on the Hi-Res version.
