Galactic Nebula NGC 6914

Galactic Nebula NGC 6914: Around the bright star Sadir in the center of the constellation of Cygnus or the Swan one finds an expanding nebular landscape. A less known and photographed part of this, north of Sadir, is of great beauty.Three reflection nebulae are embedded in a sea of emission and dark nebulae.

The upper one in the center of the image is NGC 6914, the one in the middle is designated vdB 132 and the lower one has no designation. Only the close-by Open Cluster is called  Dolidze 8.

The Hi-Res version shows an enlarged image of the central part.
