Eta Carinae Nebula
Eta Carinae Nebula: Would there be a better First-Light-Object in the southern sky for my STL 11000M CCD camera than splendid Eta Carinae Nebula in its full extent? The central part of the nebula is located to the right of center with the Keyhole Nebula easy to be recognized. But the turbulent emission reaches far out into space creating ever more complex structures.
On the far left lies NGC 3324, also sometimes called Gabriela Mistral Nebula.
For closer inspection of the details open the Hi-Res version, which uses a color coding of L:H-alpha, R:H-alpha/R, G, B; yielding slightly more attenuated stars.
