Bubble Nebula and neighbours
Bubble Nebula: The socalled Bubble Nebula complex in the center of this image is part of a huge molecular cloud and HII region (ionized hydrogen). The red glowing gas covers major parts of the image. The Open Cluster at the top is well known M52, a dense beautiful association of young stars.
The brighter spot to the right is also an emission nebula called NGC 7538.
The actual round bubble is generated by a massive bright and hot star and its fierce star winds. The diameter of the bubble is 10 LY and lies 11000 LY away.
