Sombrero galaxy

Sombrero galaxy: Shaped like a sombreo hat this spiral galaxy exhibits a tremendous dust band right in the middle and a huge halo around its bulge. This consists probably of many globular clusters and material which is expelled from the core. For a closer analysis of the galaxy structure in different spectral ranges and with different telescopes have a look here.
