Gabriela-Mistral-Nebula: In the southwesterly extensions of the Great Carina Nebula one finds NGC 3324, named after the Literature Nobel Price Winner from Chile Gabriela Mistral. With some fantasy her facial profile can be detected in in the borderline of the right hand Emission Nebula. 

This area in the Carina Constellation is a very active starbirth region, which can be recognized by the strong shock fronts  created by intensive UV radiation  and starwinds. Very deep exposures applying narrow band  filters reveal a dramatic landscape of bizarre beauty.
