Great Orion Nebula

Orion Nebula Wide Angle View: This image shows a wider area of the Orion Nebula region and is one of my favourites. What are usually seen as two objects, M42 and M43, are really part of one magnificant emission and reflection nebula region. To the left is Running Man Nebula (NGC 1977), which is also part of this gigantic star craddle. Every hobby astronomer has observed many times this region, easily seen on both the Northern and the Southern Hemisphere, but only photography can unveil the color symphony of this great galactic orchestra.A higher resolved image of M42/43 is shown here.
