Open Clusters NGC 2451and NGC 2477: These two open clusters in the constellation of Puppis are very much different in appearance, especially when they are imaged in the same field of view. NGC 2451 on the left is the brightest of the Puppis clusters and can be viewed nicely with small binoculars in the southern skies. NGC 2477 would appear in binoculars only as a small washed-out spot. But with a medium-sized telescope all the splendor of it is revealed.More than 100 suns shine in this beautiful arrangement.
