Lagoon Nebula

Lagoon Nebula: One of the most prominent nebulae in the sky and a splendid example of a large emission nebula, illuminated by a bright open cluster of young, hot stars in the center of the image. Also nicely displayed are the various dust spots and lanes from which young stars are continuously born.
