The Jewel Box: Very close to the prominent constellation of the Southern Cross this magnificent cluster of young stars can be found. The different colors of its members resemble the splendid shine of jewels. NGC 4755 is in a distance of some 7500 LY.
The image was taken at the IAS astronomical site at the Hakos farm in Namibia.
