Ink Spot Nebula and Open Cluster NGC 6520
Ink Spot Nebula and Open Cluster NGC 6520: This is another Dark Nebula in the central dust band of the Milky Way, catalogued by E.E. Barnard in his list of Dark Nebulae as no. 86. Very close to it is the young star cluster NGC 6520 which formed from the molecular cloud B 86. The assembly of bright blue stars is in a distance of 5500 LY.
