Planetary Nebula IC 5148
Planetary Nebula IC 5148: This Planetary Nebula in the southern constellation of Grus is a good example of these kind of objects. In the center of the ringlike nebula sits the dying star, which creates the emission structures by its strong winds at the end of its life cycle.
The image was taken at the observatory of IAS at Hakos Farm in Namibia.
