The Dark Horse: Close to the galactic center of the Milky Way, in the constellations of Scorpius and Ophiuchus, lies a huge dark nebula made up of gas and dust which obscures the light of the dense star field of the central bulge of our galaxy.

It is sometimes called The Dark Horse galopping from left to right as seen in this image. Its hind legs and rump at the left part of the image are making up the well known Pipe Nebula and in the center the Snake Nebula can be recognized.
