Eta Carinae Nebula Wide Field: This most bright and beautiful pearl of the Southern Sky was the second object to test my new ASI 1600 camera. After having worked with CCD cameras for some time, it took some effort with this cooled CMOS camera to get acquainted. Now I am enjoying the higher sensitivity of this camera giving me much shorter exposure times for the subframes.
I am looking forward to use both cameras side by side in the future.
