Snake Nebula and friends
Snake Nebula is an easy to identify Dark Nebula from the Barnard Dark Nebula Catalog with 349 of such objects ("Dark Nebula in the Sky"). Snake Nebula is located in the constellation of Ophiuchus in an incredibly dense star field. It is best photographed from the southern hemisphere with absolutely dark sky.
Further Barnard objects are close to B72. Four of them lie on a chain directly below the snake (starting from the right): B68, B69, B70, B74.
