Beehive Cluster: This Open Star Cluster,also called M44 according to Messier´s famous catalogue, can easily be observed with the naked eye in the constellation of Cancer. It has been known since praehistoric times. It is in a distance of about 600 LY.

The orange star at the left is Asellus Australis and the blue star at the top right Asellus Borealis.
