Sombrero Galaxy: Shaped like a sombrero hat this spiral galaxy exhibits a tremendous dust band right in the middle and a huge halo around its bulge. This consists probably of many globular clusters and material which is expelled from the core. The image was taken at the observatory of IAS at Hakos Farm in Namibia.
